The operation adopts biochemical reaction method to detect ATP content, ATP fluorescence detector is based on the principle of firefly luminescence, the use of ‘luciferase-luciferin system’ for rapid detection of adenosine triphosphate (ATP).ATP swabs contain reagents that can cleave cell membranes and release the ATP from cells, react with specific enzymes contained in the reagents to produce light, and then use fluorescent light to produce light.
